LS3 entered the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Program in December 2005. We will remain part of the 8(a) Program through December 2014. This vehicle allows government ordering activities a robust and rapid option to acquire and retain highly qualified professional services with minimal administrative effort through set-aside awards to our uniquely qualified and competent resources. The 8(a) Program - named for Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act - is a business development program created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the market place. It is also designed to assist such companies in gaining access to federal and private procurement markets. The focus of the program is to provide business development support, such as mentoring, procurement assistance, business counseling, training, financial assistance, surety bonding and other management and technical assistance. The goal, however, is to prepare small disadvantaged firms for procurement and other business opportunities. The SBA 8(a) Program Web Site, offers additional information that aid Federal Program Managers and Contracting Officers resources and points of contact to further investigation this acquisition vehicle. Through minor justification and short form ordering processes, our resources can be meeting your program needs within a matter of weeks, not months!
