IT Security Analyst

 

General Description:

The IT Security Analyst position must have previous experience working with Federal Government IT Security best practices, as defined by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This position performs system and application review and assessment activities for government systems (i.e., C&A activities). The candidate must offer knowledge of the appropriate processes related to security assessment and accreditation activities, as well as have technical hands on knowledge and experience working with information technology (e.g., developer, systems administrator, operational support, etc.).

Responsibilities include:
• Developing/implementing security policy & procedures
• Privacy and sensitive information protection activities
• Risk Assessment activities
• Continuous monitoring activities
• Security analysis
• Incident response review and reporting
• Document analysis and review
• Document consolidation and maintenance

Experience Requirements:

  • Must have at least 10 years experience in the security field to include Vendor Risk Management support, as well as prior experience working within a team of security professionals.

  • Must be able to work at customer site in Washington, DC, Monday through Friday during their core business hours, except holidays.

 

Education:

4 year degree or equivalent experience

 

Certifications:

Desirable to have either CISA or CISSP. ITIL Foundations a plus.
